Inspired by the wackie creations of Ed Roth it is being created from found objects and fabricated parts.
For several years I have been collecting parts from surplus electronics and aerospace salvage and junk yards around the Los Angeles area.
There are some very amazing ones here, filled with the last remaining leftovers of mid 20th century technology.
Many of the parts are vintage and obsolete, from 50’s, 60’s and 70’s electronics and aircraft industry.
What you see here is the chassis.
I have created rudimentary suspension using real ball bearings.
I am also constructing a body to go on this chassis, using much the same technique that « Big Daddy » used on his crazy cars. More on that as it develops!
Of course MY creation is much smaller than Eds were!
This is NOT a model of something, it is an art object with it’s own identity.
